We have proof of how hard and dedicated our Youth Equine group is! There were a few investigative reporters who captured photos of their playbook moves to win at the Junior Rodeo coming up in August. (Well, really it was two of the many wonderful parents and family who were there to support these kids). I think there is one “rider” who does not have a qualified equine in this group…hmmm, did you find the picture of the “rider”?
Be sure to go and support these kids who will be competing in the Junior Rodeo on Saturday, August 6th at 9AM! You will find them at the Tri Counties Arena on day three of our Fair.
Thank you Monica Hiner and Mechelle Webb for the great photos!
Do you like Pancakes? Hamburgers? Yard Sales? Bake Sales? Well, come on over to the Lake Earl Grange Hall (at 6820 Lake Earl Drive) this Saturday and Sunday for all of the above! The Youth Equine Project is having a fundraiser so the kids can buy a horse, buy tack, help pay for clinics, entry fees for shows and other expenses for their project..
The Yard and Bake Sale will be held on Saturday, June 25 from 8AM to 4PM and again on Sunday, June 26 from 8AM to 2PM. You can buy your $10 ticket from one of our youths or pay at the door. With that $10 you choose if you want a Pancake breakfast or a Hamburger lunch and you are entered into a drawing for a meat & cheese basket! See you this weekend!
Our young Grangers have had a busy few weeks!
All three contestants running for the Del Norte Fair Rodeo Queen/Ambassador rode in the Azalea Parade in Brookings on May 28th. They are Brinkley Webb, Cadence Salas, and Carly Rose Harper. The girls won the “Top Equestrian” award…way to go girls!
On June 1st, the Grange sponsored “The Littles Horse Show” for those kids that are too young to compete in the Del Norte Fair Horse Show. Here is a photo of the contestants and thanks to Mallorie Leavitt for helping…she used to be one of the “Littles”
Then the Grangers had their Junior Livestock Pre-fair show on June 4th…sorry, I didn’t make it, no pictures. I did hear that all the kids did really well. They all will be ready for their big show during the Fair in August!
On June 5th, kids from the Grange, FFA, and 4-H competed in the Del Norte Fair’s Horse Show. What a great turnout of support and contestants! Here are a few photos…
A big hand for all the parents and volunteers that support the kids in all of these events! Good job, Grangers!
